Jimmy Choo

Hey! I am finally back from all my trips to California and Atlanta! I really did have a good time in Atlanta though - between the two trips I attended a shoe party, watched adults play kick ball, sampled sangria at at least a half dozen restaurants, and was chauffered in a navigator super stretch limo to the office and to the mall! Ballin! ;)

I must say, Atlanta might have more shopping malls per square mile than even New Jersey! During my trip, I only made it to two: Phipps and Lenox. Didn't buy much, but if my husband asks, I didn't buy anything. Just a pair of patent leather platform peep toe slingbacks from Belk at Phipps and some lingerie from Macy's at Lenox. The Macy's was definitely nicer than any around here, other than Herald Square, of course!

Anyhow, I didn't see these shoes in person but have been doing a little online perusing. Meet Jimmy Choo Private. *Drool* They would totally be IN MY CLOSET if not for the $950 price tag - ouch! If you happen to know of a knock off, please let me know!! I'm thinking in the $100-$150 range.

Piper - April 2010

Didn't I do a wonderful job editing out my red eye in this photo? Love my new iMac!!

Piper felt like snuggling yesterday after we went on a 2 mile walk and I trampled the stuffing out of her little paw (accidentally, of course). She goes for her spay surgery on Thursday so I'm sure she'll feel like cuddling lots this weekend. My poor baby!

Thank You

A special shout out "Thank You" to my favorite skag Miss KAR for telling me who designed my Atlanta Shoe Club obsession. The shoes are apparently Charles David but are not available online. And so begins my search ....

Atlanta Shoe Club

Woo hoo when I uploaded the pics they came out in the intended order!!

So ... here are the pics from the Atlanta Hello Stiletto event I attended last week.

Here is the group I was with:

Another shot outside, could I look any WORSE? Or FAT?
LOTS of super cute shoes in this group!!

Strutting my stuff down the pink carpet. Why couldn't I just smile? :D
My shoes. If you must know, Boutique 9. Not really a designer, but not super cheap either.
More of our shoes.
My work colleague's shoes. Super cute Betsey Johnson d'orsays.
These are the shoes I was absolutely OBSESSED with but have been unable to find. If you have any leads, let me know ASAP!
Aaaaand the winner of the "Best in Shoe" .....
A close up of the winner's shoes. Not my personal fave but I wasn't on the judging panel.

Piper - Easter 2010

Well it looks like Mr. K and I slept in a little too late on Easter Sunday. While we were resting, Piper stole a fresh roll of toilet paper from the guest bath and ripped it to shreds. Little devil.

My Calling

I think I have finally found my calling in life ... it's just too bad it won't pay my bills!

While traveling for business in Atlanta last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Atlanta Shoe Club "Hello Stiletto" party! As soon as the photos are uploaded, I'll be sure to snag some of them for my blog. There were some FABULOUS shoes at this party.

Anyhow, the presence of a shoe club in Atlanta sparked an interest in starting one in my crummy little state that has next to zero fun social activities. The nearest Shoe Club to me is in NYC but apparently they never have any events!

Here is the link: check it out!

And from shoeblog.com - what are the spring/summer 2010 trends.
I personally HATE the glitter flops. Ew.

I do, however, love platforms, wedges and gladiators!

Jeggings - why?

This past Monday I had the pleasure of spending 6 hours waiting in a one room airport when my flight to Atlanta was cancelled. Luckily, I was with a work colleague and didn't have to kill all that time solo. During our lengthy wait, we happened to witness by far the worst crime of fashion I have ever laid eyes on. I couldn't help but snap a picture (of course when she was not looking, making the photo all the more unflattering).

Here she is, in all her glory. In case you need me to interpret what is going on here, this is the list: Riding boots, jeggings, a tiered floral print synthetic dress and a cropped denim jacket = items that People StyleWatch is saying are all in style for spring 2010, but gone terribly wrong.
Aaaand look what appeared in my yahoo mail inbox this morning. "Jeggings, it's a trend, not a typo." Just terrible. In my humble opinion, the only pants worn by women that do not have a zipper should be sweats and yoga pants.
