OK so maybe calling my trim a "wife chop" is a little bit extreme but I did go for something a little different!

No Sunday Fun Day here!
Boo to the rain! I am sorry I have been MIA for about a week ... I have been traveling California, baking, and even got a *modified* Wife Chop! I just need to find the darn cord to upload the pics onto my computer and then you'll have some illustrated reading material!
Fingers crossed I find it while cleaning today!

Happy Friday!
I am in such a pleasant mood today after attending an awesome Pampered Chef party last night! Of course I couldn't keep my wallet closed so here are my latest purchases (under $50 damage so not too bad!)
The small spreader: useful for appling the cream cheese frosting to the carrot cake cupcakes everyone loves!
The large spreader: in case I ever attempt an actual carrot cake!

Turning Over a New Leaf
I wanted to share, on this lovely Thursday morning, that I am turning over a new leaf and going to start leading a healthier lifestyle! I started yesterday by joining a new gym and making a yummy salad for dinner!
The salad consisted of:
The salad consisted of:
- baby greens
- ripe avocado
- cucumber
- grapes
- grape tomatoes
- almond slivers
- a few craisins sprinkled on top
I ALSO got out of bed at 5:30 this morning and went to the gym for an hour of cardio! I am not sure how this will affect me later in the day, but I feel good for now!

Wish Would Vanish List
By now I'm sure it's apparent that I have a rather lengthy list of things I love, admire and want. But what about the things that are not my style? I think those items deserve a list too!
First, the french manicure. Simply not my style.
Second, plaid. I know it's in style for Fall 2009 but I am really not a fan!

Gnarly toes in desperate need of a pedicure. Now, I'll admit these tootsies are actually mine. And I will also explain what happened. During our 2 week Aruban paradise honeymoon, my Bubble Bath colored pedicure turned BRIGHT YELLOW in the sun and both my husband and I agreed no polish would look better than polish that had yellowed in the sun. Gross.

FNO
Up until this point, I have been very careful on my blog to not disclose anything too personal or about my location within the US for fear of stalkers (hey, it could happen). I'm about to throw all that out the window and share my tales from last night.
My dear friend Miss R and I attended Fashion's Night Out and lived to tell! Here is Miss R at the Scoop party in the Meatpacking District. This party was bumpin' with a DJ spinning 80s music and weird girls with bowl cuts ( the circa 1994 kind) crazy dancing ... not to mention free martinis (though I am convinced mine was entirely Cran and Miss R is convinced hers was entirely Club Soda).
We also attended the overstaffed Tory Burch party. We got there just as it was kicking off and managed to snag some free white wine.
Here are my favorite Tory Burch looks for fall:

Pop Military!
Loving this Pagadia tee. I definitely have a thing for black & white stripes.
Once I take the plunge and purchase the Pigadia tee, this is how I plan on styling it. Miss R gave me a white rabbit fur vest back in college and I could totally still wear it ... unzipped. haha. I LOVE when you hang onto things for so long they come back around!
The Pasquier sweater speaks for itself. I am DYING to own this. Not gonna lie, I did almost buy it. Credit goes to Miss R for talking me out of it ... Mr. K would've killed me! I think we can add this one to my Christmas List.

Here are Miss R's picks:
The Jaden boot. I can totally see why she loves them. It's a refined motorcycle boot! The Quilted Small Case in this violet color - FAB! I am totally feeling purple this year too!

Thursday's Material Wishlist Vol. 3
The list of things I'm obsessed with doesn't stop at just coats, boots, jeans, jewelry and handbags. I love cosmetic products too! Here are some of my faves:
Frederic Fekkai dry shampoo. It's awesome and totally saves my hair from the abuse of shampooing, conditioning and blow drying on a daily basis!
Sephora brand foundation brush no. 47. This is an amazing product and applies liquid foundation flawlessly and evenly.

I've tried many an eyeshadow and have found no better value than the Sephora brand duo. My personal fave is duo no. 5 which works well with my dark brown eye color.
Lancome Definicils is by far the BEST mascara of all time! You only need to apply it once a day. If you find that it needs to be spruced up a little bit, just use your eyelash curler.

Meatloaf Recipe
This early fall weather not only gets me ready to wear skinny jeans, cozy sweaters and Ugg boots but also makes me crave comfort food! Here is my favorite meatloaf recipe for which I cannot take credit. Credit should go to Mrs. R of Tampa, Florida.
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb. ground round
- 1 medium onion
- 1 cup flavored breadcrumbs (I use Italian)
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp. mustard (I use Grey Poupon)
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the meat, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and 1/2 the can of tomato sauce. Form into loaf (I use Pyrex loaf pan because it's easier to clean). Mix the other 1/2 can of tomato sauce with the mustard, sugar and vinegar with 1/2 can of water. Stir together and pour over loaf.
Bake for 75 minutes at 350 uncovered.
Allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!

WW2BAM
OK I haven't written about this yet because it's *kind of* embarrassing but several weeks ago I applied to be a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I don't know what got into me, but it seemed like a good idea. Two days later, I received an email from ABC notifying me that I had an audition the following Friday. Not wanting to go by myself, I made Mr. K take time off work and go to New York City with me. The audition lasted all of 15 minutes during which I had to answer 30 multiple choice questions on various topics within 10 minutes. To make a long story short, I did not pass their ridiculous little test and was not selected to go into the contestant pool.
I guess I will have to make my millions the old fashioned way ... playing the PowerBall.
I did, however, get a yummy Magnolia cupcake out of the fiasco.

Yummy Yummy Cocktail Recipe
This weekend my darling husband and I went to visit our friends Mr. and Mrs. M for their son's second birthday. We spent the latter part of the day sipping yummy cocktails I had never tried before. I am not sure what the proportions are, but this is the recipe for the Blue Snow Cone which is SOO delicious. I think you could probably add vodka to it to make a fabulous martini!
- Blue Curacao
- Raspberry Schnapps
- Sour Mix
- Sprite

Must Have
OK I know I have a Lust List, Wish List, Christmas List, Etc. List a mile long (or possibly longer) but I'd like to add something to my All Time Must Have List:
I have no clue who this puppy belongs to since I found the picture on Google Images but I am definitely in love. Don't you just want to kiss his cute face? I am DYING to have one so I can dress it up and get a cute puppy carrier thing.
Mr. K - if you're reading this ... add this to my Lists!

Move Over Martha Stewart
I think we might have an aspiring Domestic Goddess on our hands! Mr. K purchased this gigantic cabinet for the basement where I can keep all my glassware. I have organized my water goblets, red wine glasses, white wine glasses, martini glasses, champagne glasses, margarita glasses, tumblers, pitchers, salad bowls, cake plates and spare appliances!
