Shopping Bag

I apologize for the mini pics. I don't know how to enlarge them to a visible size.

But I did want to share my Wednesday SCORE! I know I had said I wouldn't buy skinny cargo pants because if you weren't self conscious about your thighs before, you would be when you put these on. Believe me, I was no exception to this. But I did find that the Sanctuary ones from Lord & Taylor were slightly more forgiving to my ample "T" thighs. ("T" as in maiden name, and the side of the family where my 3 aunts all have big butts & thighs).

Anyhow, to make a short story long, the ones at Lord & Taylor were regularly $118 down to $88.50. Probably an additional 20% off too since they're allllllways running coupons.
But those weren't the ones I bought. These ones were. $39.99 on ideeli.com! SCORE!!! And they still had my size in stock. I think they might be a slightly lighter shade of army green and only have 1 cargo pocket instead of 2 but for half the price, it was a no brainer!

I Went Shopping!

And I bought this Free People animal print cardigan! It is so versatile and will work with skinny jeans and OTK flat boots for weekend or with black skinny pants and black flats for work! I love it when I find a piece that can do double-duty.

Clearly I am loving animal print for this fall. I also bought a Michael Michael Kors animal print skirt on RueLaLa for $29 but sadly be returning it. When it arrived, it has an off center slit up the front - ew! Reminded me of the 80s movie "Working Girl" which is not what I'm trying to emulate.

Celebrity Hair

Now I know that I literally just had my hair cut 3 or 4 inches about 18 hours ago but while my color was setting I was perusing fashion magazines looking for my next hairstyle. I am kind of lusting over Michelle William's long pixie. Seems like it would be a very practical yet stylish haircut for a mom on the go. So when I get this haircut, you'll know there's a little bundle of joy on the way ... I'm just sayin'

Wife Chop!

Happy Friday! Well, I finally went through with it last night - a wife chop of sorts. I think she took off somewhere between 3 and 4 inches which seemed like a mile until I dried it this morning and it still took just as long!

Enjoy before & after pics!

Barker & Meowsky

I am getting to the point where I am sick and tired of people mistaking my precious (and albeit very feminine) little Piper for a boy! Last week I was venting my aggravation to my friend Mrs. F who told me a girly collar would solve my problems. She recommended Barker & Meowsky, a boutique pet store near Chicago. I visited their website and well, I got carried away.

Piper's birthday is September 27. Right around the corner! Of course she needs a dog cake for her first birthday!
And a special collar for the birthday girl! Sweet treats for the sweet boxer!

Cherries! Too adorable.

Spots! I absolutely LOOOOVE the red & pink. Piper couldn't be mistaken for a boy in that collar, could she?

Here we go - LADY bugs. No male dog would ever rock a lady bug collar.

But wait, Christmas is just around the corner! Of course Piper will need to be festive too!

And for one in my 14 month marriage I am sad that my wedding has passed, as Piper will never have the opportunity to don a "dog of the bride" collar. :(

Thursday's Material Wishlist Vol. 17 (Wednesday edition)

Now that Mr. K and I have decided to remodel our kitchen, shopping has been seriously downgraded to the tune of Zara. I visited the Zara website yesterday and it is remarkably improved from the state it was in a few months ago (lookbooks, no online shopping capabilities, no prices).

Anyhow, Zara works well with my fall 2010 budget and I LOOOVE everything I have seen!! The list below contains some of my faves but is by no means comprehensive.

A camel cape! SUPER cute!

And a camel collar-less jacket - whaaat!
An animal print shoulder bag with a chain strap. Definitely a cheaper alternative to the fabulous one at Ann Taylor.

Flouncy circle skirt - ah-dorable!

This is on my MUST MUST MUST OWN list and is my favorite item at Zara.com - the lace tee. Apparently there is also a version of the tee in a dress. LoOoOoOove!

And a chain print blouse. SUPER cute and really versatile!
